About us
Behind the festival stand people from the Haslital and far beyond: the organising committee, the theatre commission, the jury, the patronage committee and the supporting association. Who does what is set out here.
Since 2019 the three words Volk · Theater · Festival have stood under a motto that changes every year. The aim has been the same since day one: bringing theatre-makers together.
Jury
Liliana Heimberg
Director, theatre educator and former ZHdK professor, whose teaching, research and large-scale projects have shaped open-air theatre and cultural heritage in Switzerland.
Hans Ulrich Glarner
Former head of cultural affairs for the cantons of Aargau and Bern, co-founder of the Freunde der Möriker Operette and initiator of major theatre projects bringing together professionals and amateurs.
Fabienne Hadorn
Fabienne Hadorn is an actor and performer. She works in theatre, film and television and moves between stage and camera with a wide-ranging artistic practice. Alongside performing, she creates her own projects with a variety of ensembles.
Michel Préperier
Vice-president and set designer at the Atelier Théâtre de Bagnes (VS); general secretary of the FSSTA since 2017 and president-designate of TAS (Theater Amateure Schweiz) – committed to a multilingual, Switzerland-wide folk theatre festival.
Barbara Terpoorten
Barbara Terpoorten is an actor, director and lecturer. She works in theatre, film and television and trains theatre practitioners. One focus of her work is the connection between practice, teaching and artistic development.
Frank Rüfenacht
President of Theater Ittigen, an active performer since 2010 and a driving force behind the association's development; a passionate visitor to theatre productions in the region.
