Behind the festival stand people from the Haslital and far beyond: the organising committee, the theatre commission, the jury, the patronage committee and the supporting association. Who does what is set out here.
Since 2019 the three words Volk · Theater · Festival have stood under a motto that changes every year. The aim has been the same since day one: bringing theatre-makers together.

Enrico Maurer
Author, director and head of the Breuninger Theaterverlag; chairs the theatre committee of the Volkstheaterfestival Meiringen and looks after some 200 authors.
Katrin Brunner
President of the Bühne Wehntal, journalist BR and course leader with a focus on theatre communication and creative writing.
Simone Bächler
Actor and communications specialist, an award winner at the Volkstheaterfestival; active with Kulisse Zug and in theatre for children and adults alike.
Adrian Kurmann
Actor, author, director and editor at teaterverlag elgg; board member of Theater Belp and co-founder of Ensemble Zefirino.
Pia Abplanalp
Actor with a broad repertoire from open-air theatre to cabaret; president of amathea.ch Bärn/Friburg/Wallis and vice-president of the ZSV executive committee.
Andreas Fischer
A long-standing theatre-maker with the Cheernagel-Büüni; versatile as an actor, translator and director – and living in the loft of a theatre.
